As part of the third phase of our Area inspection programme, we publish our report on CPS Cymru Wales, looking at what drives casework quality.

HMCPSI today has published a report following an Area Inspection of CPS Yorkshire & Humberside. This is the third phase of our Area Inspection Programme.

A follow-up inspection of the quality of the magistrates’ courts and Crown Court casework in the 14 Crown Prosecution Service Areas in England and Wales.

Since the publication of this report in 2023 we have discovered and corrected typographical errors in table 3 on page 14 and table 4 on page 15. This is a corrected version.
