As part of the third phase of our Area inspection programme, we publish our report on CPS Cymru Wales, looking at what drives casework quality. This is the second of the two CPS Areas we visited as part of this phase, the other being CPS Yorkshire and Humberside report published  Sept 2025 – Area Inspection Programme Phase 3 – CPS Yorkshire and Humberside – HM Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate.

We will be publishing a final report drawing conclusions from our findings from our inspections of CPS Yorkshire and Humberside, and CPS Cymru Wales in phase three, as to what factors drive good quality casework on 26 February 2026.
