HMCPSI carried out a programme of inspections across all 14 CPS Areas between 2021 and 2022 with a focus on casework quality.

Each inspection was marked against a detailed baseline assessment of casework quality across magistrates’ court, Crown Court, and rape and serious sexual offences casework in each of the 14 Areas.
