‘Honour’-based abuse – Scope

This is the first phase of an inspection of the quality of CPS casework in cases involving ‘honour’-based abuse. This phase will include setting out the current landscape around ‘honour’-based abuse, reflecting the work the CPS has done to date, and engaging with third sector organisations. The second phase will follow later in our 2026-2027 business plan and will involve an examination of casework and speaking to relevant CPS staff and stakeholders.
